Overview


We are seeking a reliable and experienced Snow Plow Operator to efficiently manage snow removal operations during winter months. This role involves operating heavy machinery and maintaining safety standards to ensure clear and accessible roads, driveways, and parking areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience with landscape maintenance or construction equipment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to community safety while working in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities



Operate snow plow trucks,Skid Steers and related heavy machinery to clear snow from roads, parking lots, and walkways Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on plow equipment to ensure optimal functioning Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed Assist with ice control measures, including spreading salt or sand when necessary Conduct safety checks before and after each shift to identify potential hazards Collaborate with team members to prioritize routes and complete snow removal efficiently Maintain detailed records of work performed and equipment used during shifts

Skills



Proven experience operating snow plows or similar heavy machinery such as excavators or construction equipment Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs of plow trucks and related tools Familiarity with irrigation, gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is a plus for seasonal tasks beyond snow removal Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction, maintenance, and winter weather operations Physical stamina to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions precisely and communicate effectively
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week

Experience:

Skid Steer : 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:

Class 5 Drivers Licence (required)
Work Location: In person
