Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently clearing snow and ice from driveways and parking lots, ensuring safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians during winter weather conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of snow plowing techniques, as well as mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain equipment effectively.

Duties

Operate pickup trucks with plow and salters attached and other equipment to clear snow from roads, parking lots, and walkways. Perform routine maintenance on plowing equipment, including checks on fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall functionality. Utilize hand tools and power tools for additional snow removal tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts during severe weather events. Maintain a clean work area and ensure all equipment is stored properly after use.

Qualifications

Proven experience in snow plowing or related fields such as landscaping or construction is required. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment is essential. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols while working in various weather conditions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to equipment operation are advantageous.
