Job Description

We are seeking skilled and reliable

Snowplow Drivers

to join our winter operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining plow trucks, salt trucks, sidewalk tractors, snow blowers and other sidewalk plowing equipment. This role also includes manual shovelling to ensure proper snow removal and application of de-icing materials on roadways, parking lots, and other designated areas. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating heavy trucks or equipment, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work on-call flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on weather conditions.

This role can lead into a full-time role for winter and also full-time summer landscaping maintenance with benefits and year-round employment. We also offer solid training, leadership classes and career development courses so that you can flourish within our organization

Key Responsibilities:



Respond promptly to snow and ice events when called, including overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. Operate a variety of snow removal equipment such as shovels, snow blowers, sweepers, sidewalk tractors, plows, and salt/sand/brine spreaders. Clear snow and ice from walkways, driveways, parking lots, stairs, building entrances, fire exits, and other designated areas in compliance with client requirements and safety standards. Apply de-icing materials (salt, sand, brine, or other approved products) according to site needs and weather conditions. Pile snow only in designated and approved locations. Perform pre- and post-event inspections of trucks, equipment, and assigned properties; report any maintenance or repair needs. Wash and clean all trucks and equipment after each use to prevent corrosion, ensure safety, and maintain a professional appearance. Accurately track and record material usage and hours worked. Maintain clear communication with supervisors, dispatch, and crew members throughout operations. Follow all company policies and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe operation of equipment. Provide professional service at client properties, demonstrating reliability and quality consistent with Conestoga's values. Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications



Availability for on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays during winter storms. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability. Previous experience operating salt trucks, plow trucks, skid steers, or other heavy equipment. Valid G driver's license and reliable personal vehicle to drive to work sites.
Knowledge of safe driving practices in winter weather conditions.

Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, bending, shovelling, and working outdoors for extended periods of time in cold, snowy, and icy conditions. Reliable, punctual, and flexible for on-call winter work. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Personal mobile device with a data plan (500MB monthly) for communication and using our work apps. Experience with plow trucks, skid steers, or other equipment is an asset. Previous snow removal or landscaping experience preferred but not required.

Outdoor, physical work in cold, snowy, and icy conditions. Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with potential for long shifts during heavy snowfalls.

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
