Job Summary / What to Expect
Operate a pickup truck equipped with a
V-plow and salter
to clear and treat designated routes.
Complete assigned routes within the expected 8-10 hour timeframe per round (based on 4-6" snowfall).
Perform light shoveling and hand-salting where needed; large walkways are handled by a dedicated walkway crew.
Respond to snow and freezing rain events including
overnight, weekends, and holidays
.
Use company operations software (training provided) to track labour and material usage.
Maintain assigned vehicle in clean, working condition after each outing.
Communicate route progress, delays, and maintenance issues promptly to your Account Manager.
All tools, training, detailed site maps, and uniforms are provided (except winter boots and jacket).
Paid orientation and training period provided.
Compensation
Pay Range:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience & equipment type).
Contract Duration:
November 15, 2025 - April 15, 2026.
Shifts:
Day, night, and overnight availability required to qualify for base pay ((24/7)).
Bonus:
Potential for seasonal, performance-based bonus.
Job Types:
Full-Time (Standby Pay), Part-Time, or Casual/Temporary.
Qualifications
Prior experience in
winter operations, snow plowing, or salting
is required.
Valid
Class G driver's license
with a clean abstract.
Reliable transportation to and from assigned site(s).
Comfortable operating in
winter conditions
and confined spaces.
Must be available
on call 24/7
during the snow season.
Able to work flexible and extended hours (nights, weekends, holidays).
Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Access to a smartphone for communication and reporting.
Must live within
45 minutes of the Bolton, ON
dispatch yard or assigned site.
Work Conditions
Physically fit; able to lift
50 lbs +

Prolonged driving and exposure to cold, snow, and wind.
Fast-paced environment requiring focus and endurance.
Regular proximity to other vehicles and heavy equipment.
Strong stamina and manual dexterity required.
