Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Snow Cat Operator for winter road and site maintenance at a remote camp-based project in Fort McMurray. This is a safety-critical role requiring proven expertise in operating snow cats (e.g., PistenBully, Prinoth, or equivalent) in extreme cold-weather environments. The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient grooming and snow management to support 24/7 operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate snow cats to groom, pack, and maintain winter access roads, pads, and lease sites. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, fluid checks, and basic field maintenance. Identify and report hazards, terrain issues, or equipment concerns immediately Work rotating shifts (days/nights) in -40C conditions, including weekends and holidays. Assist with snow removal, ice road support, and emergency response as required Adhere to all safety policies, client protocols, and environmental standards

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

Minimum 3+ years operating snow cats in oil sands or heavy-civil winter environments Valid CSO (Common Safety Orientation) or CSTS-2020 PCST (Pipeline Construction Safety Training) Standard First Aid with CPR/AED H2S Alive (Energy Safety Canada or equivalent) Clean Class 5 Driver's License (Class 3 preferred but not required) Ability to pass pre-access drug & alcohol screening (urine + oral fluid) Must be legally eligible to work for Ledcor and its subcontractors in Canada

Additional Requirements

Physically fit to work in extreme cold, climb in/out of equipment, and lift 50+ lbs Strong situational awareness and radio communication skills Reliable transportation to/from Fort McMurray camp pickup points
