Salary: CAD$120,000 and above depending on experience plus bonus potential

Job Details: This practice is seeking a full-time Veterinarian to join their amazing team!

This is a full-service, companion animal veterinary practice that has been serving Gander and a large portion of surrounding areas of central Newfoundland for over 30 years. The clinic only moved to its current location in 2009 and has continued to grow since then, with an expansion of services and products available to their clients.

They have an outstanding team of compassionate staff that works hard to meet the unique medical needs of the pets visiting them. From surgical and medical services to dental care and pet wellness, they offer a range of services for cats, dogs, exotic animals such as reptiles, parrots, rodents, hamsters and other types of companion animals. Their veterinarians are dedicated to meeting patients' specific needs through preventative care, regular exams, surgical procedures and other medical services.

They are seeking an enthusiastic Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The ideal candidate is energetic, compassionate, and thrives in a family oriented practice where the atmosphere is professional and easy going. New graduates are welcome to apply and will benefit from their unique mentorship opportunities.

Their clinic is open five days a week, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and not open any evenings or weekends. They have a shared on-call arrangement with other clinics in the area, offering a very flexible work-life balance.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Licensed (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Newfoundland and Labrador

One (1) year experience (preferred)

Experience with exotics (a bonus)

Willingness to perform surgery

Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude are a must

A strong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients

Excellent communication skills, both when dealing with clients and team members
