Hello, Our Client in Brantford is looking for Slitter Operators Operators to add to their Team!
Role: Slitter Operator/ Lead hand
Pay: $19 - $24/hour
(earning potentially of $30.00 per hour, bonuses)
Hours:
Training: Monday to Thursday - 6:00am to 4:00pm (10-hour shifts). Friday 6:00am to 10:00am (4 hours)
After training: Monday to Thursday 4:00pm to 2:00am (10-hour shifts). Friday 4:00pm to 8:00pm (4 hours)

Requirements:

• 5 years+ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Experience operating a machine where mechanical aptitude and accuracy were used
• Any amount of experience as a lead hand or leadership capacity
• Willing to be trained on MIG/TIG Welding
• Willing to be training on operating a crane
• Ability to lift heavy on occasion; up to 100lbs (manual lifting only happens when a mistake is made)
• Counterbalance certified
• Safety shoes
• Clear background check
• Excellent communication
• No jewelry allowed except wedding band

Responsibilities:

• Operating the Slitter machine on production line
• Leading a team of 4 other production workers
• Maneuvering bundles of steel ranging from 48" to 7' wide
• Guiding steel strips through deburring system
• Recording quality checks for wax, paint, etc.
• Pulling scrap wire out of machine when it is finished
• Welding
• Operating crane
• Using Forklift to move finished steel coils and place into inventory
