King Asphalt Maintenance is looking to hire a hardworking and experienced

Skid Steer Operator

to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience and proficiency in operating skid steer and other heavy machines. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVED NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE.

Related experience in paving, construction materials, equipment, and processes is preferred.

Area of work experience:

Excavation Fine grading and finishing Material handling Rough grading Sub-grade excavating Trenching Asphalt finishing

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate skid steer with precision and safety. Load, unload, and move construction materials around the worksite. Work with the team to ensure timely completion of paving projects. Maintain equipment as needed. Assist labourers with physical tasks as needed - assist in the installation and maintenance of asphalt surfaces. Perform other duties as assigned. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in the asphalt/paving industry considered an asset but not required. Ensure worksite safety by following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Willingness to engage in physical labor including lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Valid G-Licence required. Must be able to commute to and from shop/jobsites. A positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with co-workers. Willingness to work flexible hours.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
