Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.

Duties

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Perform measurements and calculations for accurate construction. Assemble furniture and cabinetry according to design specifications. Execute construction painting tasks to ensure high-quality finishes. Fabricate components for various projects including framing, flooring, and roofing. Conduct concrete forming for foundations and other structural elements. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers to ensure project completion. Estimate materials needed for projects and manage inventory effectively. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills:

Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in construction or maintenance person services. Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics. Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus. Strong understanding of construction estimating techniques. Ability to plumb accurately for installations. Experience with concrete forming processes. Familiarity with construction painting methods. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
