Smith & Sons Coldstream is currently seeking a highly-skilled red seal carpenter in the Vernon area.

The successful applicant will collaborate with the company owner &/or the superintendent focusing on building a team to complete quality residential building projects. This position has the opportunity for advancement. Experience in residential construction is required, especially relating to residential renovations and remodeling. A great work environment and steady employment will be given to successful candidates. The successful applicant will enjoy initial and ongoing training, health benefits after 90 days probation, and a great work environment.

Initial and ongoing compensation will be negotiated based on experience, productivity, and attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

Be reliable and show up to work on time! Possess a great work ethic and a willingness to learn. Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications. Have good communication and organizational skills. Comply with all company, building and safety code policies.
Must have skills:

Framing Finishing Carpentry
Knowledge of/ skills in, an advantage:

Flooring Insulating Drywall Taping Painting Ceramic Tile Minor plumbing Minor electrical

Requirements & Qualifications

Live within close proximity to Vernon, BC. Minimum 5 years of residential construction and renovation experience. Current driver's license. Reliable transportation. Have your own general hand tools and work gear/PPE.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
