What You'll Do

Execute interior and exterior painting projects to specified quality standards
Prepare surfaces properly (sanding, priming, filling, caulking)
Apply paint systematically using appropriate techniques
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work sites
Protect customer property throughout projects
Follow quality checklists and documentation procedures
Communicate professionally with customers and project managers
Take pride in delivering work that exceeds customer expectations

Project Types:
Residential interior repainting
Residential exterior repainting
New construction homes (interior and exterior)
Commercial spaces (retail, offices, facilities)
Cabinet refinishing and specialty finishes
Decks, fences, and exterior structures

Requirements

Technical Skills:

Painting experience is an asset
Solid understanding of surface preparation techniques
Proficiency with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
Knowledge of different paint types and applications
Ability to cut clean lines and achieve uniform coverage
Understanding of proper priming and coating systems
Physical ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and in various positions

Arrive on time and ready to work every day
Follow systematic procedures and quality checklists
Maintain clean work areas and respect customer property
Work safely and use proper PPE
Take direction from lead painters and project managers
Communicate clearly about progress and any issues
Take responsibility for quality outcomes
Be coachable and willing to learn new techniques

Practical Requirements:

Reliable transportation to job sites across Victoria, BC
Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working full days
Comfortable working in various weather conditions (exterior work)
Able to work Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays during busy season
