Skilled Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Cedar Valley Investments, a family owned and operated business, is looking for a qualified and experienced Skilled Maintenance Technician. Our team is responsible for the management of over 450 units in the Fredericton area.
As a skilled maintenance technician , you'll be responsible for completing a wide range of renovations tasks as well as maintenance requests. We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated person who will be able to work independently as well as with a team. You must be reliable, physically fit to carry heavy items, and have a clean driving record.
The successful candidate will be provided a work vehicle, as well as the proper tools for the role. Health and benefits are partially covered by employer after probation period. Candidates with previous experience in maintenance and with carpentry, plumbing and electrical experience will be given preference. Must have good personal interaction skills and be able to work well under pressure. The role entails but is not limited to the following:
changing locks
changing out plumbing fixtures such as toilets and sinks
painting and crack-filling
replacing and caulking windows
laying laminate and vinyl flooring
finding and repairing leaks
shovelling snow / snow removal
Requirements and qualifications
:Professional in appearance and mannerisms Skilled and experienced in carpentry Experience in a similar position or contractor work Strong problem solving skills Organized Clean driving record
Working Conditions:
May be required to be on call one weekend a month Flexible lunch hours
