Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Skilled Labourer to join our civil construction team, specializing in concrete restoration projects. The successful candidate will work on the rehabilitation of structures such as parking garages, bridges, retaining walls, and other concrete infrastructure. This role requires hands-on expertise in demolition, surface preparation, formwork, patching, and finishing techniques to restore structural integrity and extend service life.

Skills (MUST BE ABLE TO)

Perform concrete demolition, chipping, and removal using hand and power tools Prepare surfaces for restoration including grinding, sandblasting, and pressure washing Mix, place, and finish concrete and repair mortars according to specifications Install and remove formwork and shoring systems Apply coatings, sealants, and corrosion protection systems Operate equipment such as jackhammers, grinders, and concrete saws safely Assist with structural repairs including rebar replacement and epoxy injection Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to meet project timelines Document work progress and report any issues or hazards

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 3 years of experience in concrete restoration or civil construction Knowledge of concrete repair techniques and materials (e.g., Sika, BASF, Euclid) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Familiarity with safety regulations and PPE requirements Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Certifications in Working at Heights, WHMIS, and First Aid are assets
