Job Description

At Compass Building Services, we are growing our Installation team providing implementation services focused on general labor tasks in construction and warehouse environments. This individual needs to be hard worker, show up on time, teachable and possess common sense while meeting all assigned production goals. Duties & Responsibilities

• Assembly of workstations, safety guardrails, and processing carts
• Loading and unloading materials
• Quality assurance for all completed work
• Always follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner
• Wear proper personal protection equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes
• Information supervisors of any defects in equipment or parts
• Clean debris and other waste as you go to eliminate job site safety hazards
• Build and kit out a general distribution facility

Requirements

• Use, maintain, and clean a variety of hand and power tools (hammer, pallet jacks, drill, tape measure, etc)
• Curiosity and desire to meet all deliverables on time
• Mechanical aptitude and good dexterity
• Must be able to effectively communicate and follow-up with the Team Leader
• Self-motivated, hardworking, professional, energetic, dependable and driven to improve
• Ability to work well within a team; strong communication skills

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 1 month Pay: From $22.00 per hour Flexible Language Requirement:

• French not required

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Belleville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• construction or carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)
