Summary

Bertram Construction is looking for an experienced Excavator & Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Moncton. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in equipment operation and has a strong background in natural stonework, including retaining wall construction, driveways, and patio stone installation.

Responsibilities

Assist in site preparation and material handling as needed Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and maintenance activities Troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment as they arise Ensure work areas are clean and organized Operate excavators and other heavy equipment efficiently and safely Prepare job sites for landscaping and hardscaping projects Construct retaining walls, patios, and driveways using natural stone Read and interpret site plans and elevations Work independently or with a team to complete projects on time

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years operating excavators and heavy equipment Proven experience with natural stonework and hardscaping Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship Ability to read plans and follow site layouts Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1 or 3 is an asset) Reliable, punctual, and professional
