Job Description

Can-Traffic Small Equipment Operators and Laborers assist with a variety of installation, maintenance, and repair projects involving street lights, traffic signals, pedestrian crossovers, signage, flashing beacons, and other traffic electrical devices.

Operators are an essential part of our 3-5 person crews and work year-round, Monday to Friday, for 40+ hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. Expect periodic out-of-town and night shift assignments.

To thrive in this role, you must be a hardworking individual with some exposure to the construction industry, show up on time every day, and be able to work in a physically demanding environment.

What you will do Everyday

Work alongside experienced technicians to assist in the maintenance and repair of traffic signals, street lights, and other roadside infrastructure. Operate tools and equipment under the guidance of senior team members, including hand tools, power tools, and depending on training and experience machinery such as skid steers, mini excavators, and ditch witches. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring the safety of yourself, your team, and the public. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris, organizing materials, and properly storing tools and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications Needed

High school diploma with at least 2 years of related construction experience Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license Submission of a 5-year Commercial Driver's Abstract with fewer than 7 demerits

Pay: $21.88-$25.36 per hour
