Position Summary

Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed casual clerk to support the Long-Term Care department.

Working under general supervision, the Clerk/Receptionist supports the Long Term Care Site visitation process by booking visitor appointments according to established procedures, assisting visitors to complete required documentation including screening checklist, maintaining records and performing other clerical duties as assigned. Ensure cleanliness and order of visitation space by performing light cleaning duties and referring deeper cleaning requirements to supervisor, ensuring space is configured according to physical distancing requirements and is adequately stocked with hand hygiene supplies. .

Parkside Intermediate Care Home is a one storey facility that houses 58 residents in single occupancy rooms; each room has its own washroom. There are three separate wings, the 300 and 400 wing house 22 rooms each and the 200 wing has 14 rooms. At the end of the 300 and 400 wing there is a private sitting area for residents/family. Recreation Therapy is provided on site, which provides activities such as hymn-sing, school visits with the elderly, choral groups.

Prince George has a population of 89,490 (2021) local residents and is a service centre for approximately 320,000. Qualifications

• Grade 12 and one year\xe2\x80\x99s recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Ability to deal with staff, residents and families effectively.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
