Job Summary:

Konstant is seeking a driven Site Supervisor for our Project Management Office. The Site Supervisor is an entry to mid-level leadership position with the specific focus of ensuring 100% execution of on-site Racking and Systems installations for our clients. The Site Supervisor will learn the industry and operations in a hands-on approach while utilizing current skills-sets to problem solve and ensure timely execution of installation projects.

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the start-up, installation delivery, commissioning, and post-support of an installation project. He/she may evaluate and recommend changes in methods or procedures in own area of responsibility, or within the total process flow. The Site Supervisor is assigned to a Project Manager and is responsible for the overall success/outcome of installation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Be on site as required during the installation to assist in the management of timelines, 3rd party sub-trades including inspections and customer walkthroughs
  • Act as the main point of contact for the subtrades to rectify issues and/or escalate back to Project Manager
  • Supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the daily activities of construction tradespeople
  • Coordinating work activities with subcontractors
  • Overseeing the on-site deliveries of materials and supplies
  • Participate in any site, project related calls, meetings
  • Provide regular progress reports and status updates, including site pictures
  • Work with the assigned Project Manager to ensure build is progressing as per drawing and plans
  • Troubleshoot with General Contractor (GC) and subtrades as required
  • Act as the main point of contact for the subtrades to rectify issues and/or escalate back to Project Manager
  • Various other coordination, scheduling and supervisory responsibilities as required
  • Other duties may be assigned
Preferred Skills or Experience:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Mechanically inclined and able to read site installation drawings
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Functional Knowledge in any of the following:
  • Conveyor/Automated Storage system components and installation of same
  • Storage platforms
  • Wire Guidance installations
  • Various Rack and shelving Applications \xe2\x80\x93 i.e., Pick Modules, VNA, Pushback Double deep,
  • Interactions of storage systems with MHE
  • Understanding of installation process of base building systems (lighting, Sprinkler)
  • Performance duties with minimal supervision; demonstrate drive and initiative while responding to rapidly varying requirements.
  • Implement projects accurately and completely according to proposals (as supplied by the assigned Project Manager).
  • Demonstrated competence in application concepts, designs, installations, and acceptance of systems according to applicable codes.
  • Mindfulness toward rigorous judgment about operational success, costs, and equipment needed to complete a project.
  • Proficiency with, and ability to train others in, the operation of power equipment and hand tools that utilized / encountered in installation projects.
  • Experience adapting to unexpected changes.
  • Working Knowledge of applicable provincial construction regulations

Prefer (but not required based on work experience) a college degree from a four-year school.

3-5 years of experience in MHE or technical and mechanical experience in the field.

BUSINESS HOURS
Weekdays (Monday through Friday), 7am \xe2\x80\x93 4pm, but varies as required.

During project deployment, working hours depend on the customer operational availability as determined by the customer\'s site-management. Occasionally, during a project deployment, local travel can go up to 40%, dependent on project location.
