Plans, organizes and implements weekly programs for children aged 4-12
Follows expectations outlined in the ministry of heritage, sport, tourism culture and industry ASP initiative.
Ensures all programs run as planned
Provides support, guidance and leadership to part-time program staff and volunteers to ensure delivery of a successful service or program
Ensures that the facility and its equipment are maintained and stored as per the requirements of the agency
Ensures the safety of participants, volunteers and other employees
Maintains daily participants attendance and relevant registration records
Assists in developing and distributing of weekly staff schedule
Oversees part-time program staff arrival and departure times
Assists in part-time program staff evaluations
Participates and supports initiatives of the West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre, BGC Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, and Canada as appropriate
Attends staff meetings, committees, agency wide initiatives and training as required
Ensures all incidents involving staff, volunteers, and/or participants are immediately reported and/or documented according to legislative and agency requirements
Ensures that the program is adhering to all board approved policies and practices
Attends and participates in and supports divisional and agency-wide and program specific special events and fundraising initiatives (Volunteer Recognition Night, Annual General Meeting, or UW Campaigns)
Ensures an approach that displays a positive attitude, sensitivity and understanding towards people of all abilities, backgrounds and orientation
Carries out other duties as assigned
Must be available to work 1:00pm-6:00pm Monday's to Friday's (school days)
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on School off days (PD Day and School Holidays)
