Apex Technical is a design and building firm seeking a site supervisor to oversee the timely construction of the building from foundation excavation to warranty service request signoff while keeping to the budget and is responsible for producing zero defect suites through effective management of trades, inspectors, suppliers, and staff.Must have residential construction experience Duties :
- Must know all the house construction steps/phases and sub-trades,inspections etc.Clear understanding of contracts, plans, and specifications, as well as construction methods, materials and regulations.
- knowledge of all trades, staff responsibilities, scheduling and scopes of work.
- Monitors & supervises all daily trade functions: timeliness, quality of workmanship and completion of work.
- Schedules and attends all necessary municipal inspections. Assists Inspectors with the completion of the review, and rectifies issues as required.
- Manages maintenance of job site ensuring it is safe, clean and aesthetically appealing while under construction.
- Responsible for supervising on-site construction staff, including the scheduling of subcontractors, inspectors and suppliers on the job.
- Strong organizational skills, including the tracking and control of costs, budgets and schedule.
- Is proactive and actively assists in problem solving when job site or construction issues occur (falling behind schedule, quality of work, etc.) while complying with policy, plans and specification.
- Manage, schedule, and supervise sub-trades and site staff to ensure work is, planned and performed efficiently
- Maintain and submit daily reports to document site progress, inspections, and other occurrences
- Conducts site walkthroughs to ensure imperfections are noted, Building Code is adhered to, and Homebuyers\xe2\x80\x99 Options and Extras are complied with
- Valid Class G driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with the ability to travel as required to various job sites.
- 8 hour shift
- Vaughan, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
