Position Title: Site Supervisor
Position Status: Non-Union
Wage: $22.49/hr plus RSP
Shifts: Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday 07:00 - 15:00 (full-time) and other times as necessary
Reports to: Client Service ManagerJob Summary:As a Security Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the security operations at 443 Squadron \xe2\x80\x93 12 Wing. Your primary objective will be to ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets within 443 Squadron \xe2\x80\x93 12 Wing. You will lead a team of security guards, coordinate schedules, enforce security procedures, and maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling any security incidents, conducting investigations when necessary, and providing regular reports to management.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior customer service to clients and general public.
  • Supervise a team of security guards (Commissionaires), including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring duties and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with site orders and National Defence Security Orders.
  • Ensure all Commissionaires are properly trained, equipped and capable of performing their duties.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, or other situations requiring intervention and ensure problems and concerns are communicated to the Client Service Manager.
  • With the support of the Client Service Manager conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, including interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and preparing incident reports.
  • Monitor security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems, to ensure proper function.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including daily activity logs, incident reports, security access cards.
  • Proactively identify potential security risks or vulnerabilities and recommend measures to mitigate them to the Client Service Manager.
  • Serve as a point of contact for security-related inquiries, requests, or complaints.
  • Schedule Commissionaires using Track Tik security software.
Required Education, Qualifications and Experience:
  • Must possess and maintain a Level II (Secret) Public Works and Government Service Canada security clearance.
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, particularly in high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in using security equipment and technology, including CCTV systems, access control systems, and incident reporting software.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform security duties, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or moving objects.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Must complete the online Commissionaire Security Officer Course (CSOC)
  • Must be fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
  • Must have a positive attitude with a professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have excellent attention to detail to fulfill duties and responsibilities to write incident report.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to handle emergency situations in a calm manner.
  • Can work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
  • Have a demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public.
  • Have knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
