As a

Site Superintendent - Tenant Improvements (TI)

, you'll lead fast-paced, detail-driven interior renovation projects; often within active retail and commercial spaces. You'll be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.


Your ability to manage the unique challenges of operational renovationsincluding working around live business operations, coordinating with tenants, and maintaining exceptional client relationships, will be key to your success. Projects range from $25K to $5M in value, offering a mix of complexity and pace that keeps every day engaging.


We're looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in occupied environments and takes pride in delivering work that meets both client expectations and strict operational requirements.

What You'll Do



Lead all aspects of on-site project delivery, from mobilization to close-out, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and client standards. Build strong relationships with clients, tenants, subcontractors, and your project team to support smooth communication and minimize disruption to business operations. Oversee daily site activities, delegate work to crews and subcontractors, and monitor progress against project schedules. Conduct daily site inspections at the start and end of each shift, maintaining thorough site documentation and Daily Logs. Enforce safety protocols and lead weekly safety meetings, Toolbox Talks, and site-specific orientations. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure worksite that is essential when working in active retail or office environments. Proactively identify and resolve site challenges to keep projects on track. Mentor and support crew members, promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Perform inspections and deficiency repairs as required to meet client and project specifications.

What You Bring



Minimum of 3 years experience as a Site Superintendent with a General Contractor, specifically on tenant improvements or commercial interior projects ranging from $25K-$5M. Journeyperson Certificate is considered an asset Detailed knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and finishing systems. Experience managing disruptions, coordinating with existing tenants, and adhering to strict timelines Own transportation, able to get to and from site Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, push/pull, bend and crouch frequently and work in adverse weather conditions

Your Skills

:

Technical and Project Management

Ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately. Strong QA/QC focus to ensure craftsmanship and compliance. Skilled at scheduling, coordinating crews, and managing materials to meet deadlines. Proficient in maintaining site documentation and reporting progress. Ability to coordinate and manage daily site activities to align with the overall construction schedule, ensuring deadlines are met. Strong organization and able to maintain and update progress reports, tracking budgets, and manage change orders.
Leadership and Communication

Proven ability to lead and motivate crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and tenants. Collaborative approach to problem-solving, especially in occupied retail or commercial settings. Able to work closely with project managers, architects, property owners, tenants and building management to ensure project completion within scope and compliance with local building codes.
HSE:

Able to navigate the unique challenges associated with working safely in occupied spaces Deep understanding of OHS regulations and safe work practices. Proactive in identifying hazards and promoting a culture of safety. Committed to maintaining tidy, secure, and client-ready job sites at all times.
