Tridon Communications is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee and supervise client site in Kitimat, BC.

Job Summary:





The Site Superintendent will be responsible for leading fiber and structured cabling technicians to ensure all work is completed to the highest standards. As the primary point of contact for customers on-site, you will resolve concerns, build strong relationships, and lead the team in the successful execution of projects. This role demands a high level of industry knowledge, leadership, and commitment to safety.


Responsibilities & Duties:




Supervise and oversee the installation of structured cabling components (Cat 5E, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Fiber Optic) and communication circuits. Lead service, maintenance, and troubleshooting for commercial/industrial communication circuits and cabling networks. Provide hands-on support and lead by example in all tasks related to project execution. Review and approve high-level estimates for large cabling projects ($25k-$100K) and detailed estimates for smaller jobs ($1k-$25k). Coordinate the scope of work, material billings, and project quotes with Senior Managers before project initiation. Manage and maintain work order data, LEM's, incidents, and related project documentation. Conduct weekly toolbox talks to reinforce safety and operational best practices. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment, including conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring all necessary equipment maintenance. Mentor, train, and develop technicians, ensuring the use of proper techniques and adherence to safety standards. Represent Tridon Communications in a professional manner when interacting with customers, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction. Oversee equipment inspections, fleet vehicles, and company tools. Review and approve service order input and assist in employee performance evaluations.

Experience & Qualifications:




Postsecondary education is an asset. A diploma in a related field is preferred. TE Connectivity, CommScope Systimax, Belden, or Corning certification training is an asset. A valid Alberta driver's license with a good driving record. Extensive experience in fiber and structured cabling installations and related industry practices. Strong knowledge of telecommunications network requirements, wiring standards, and electrical wiring codes. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience in troubleshooting, installation, and repair of telecommunications systems. Ability to work effectively and safely in hazardous environments with a deep understanding of occupational hazards and safety protocols. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
