POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to lead/assist the construction of multi-family projects. The Site Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The role requires string leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate trades, suppliers, and site staff in a fast-faced construction environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Oversee daily site operations for multi-family residential projects, from site preparation to occupancy.
Lead and supervise site crews, subcontractors and trades, ensuring work is completed to company standards and project specification.
Develop and maintain the construction schedule, proactively addressing delays and resource challenges
Conduct daily site meetings, coordinate with Project Managers and maintain string communication with stakeholders.
Monitor and enforce WorkSafe BC requirements, ensuring a safe work environment for all site personnel
Maintain adherence to the company COR safety program
Perform quality control inspections to ensure compliance with BC Building code, municipal requirements and project specifications.
Manage and approve site documentation including daily reports, safety logs, RFI's, change orders and deficiency lists
Coordinate material deliveries, equipment and site logistics
Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, inspectors and trade partners
Support project close-out, including inspections, deficiency resolutions and turnover to client.
QUALIFICATIONS
5-10 years of progressive site supervision experience in multi-family residential construction.
Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget
Strong knowledge of BC building code, municipal permitting processes and construction best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
Proficient with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
Red Seal certification or equivalent carpentry trade background is considered an asset.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Willingness to participate in First Aid certification(s)
