Robert Half is recruiting for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer Lead to fulfill an open role for our Calgary Client. As the successful Candidate you will assist in leadership of the team to implement the DevOps/SRE technical direction and processes to ensure adoption of DevSecOps, Cloud and automation transformation and optimize uninterrupted deployment and delivery practices. meet business needs. You have solid knowledge and experience with DevOps/SRE and strong ability to coach, mentor, plan and engage with application teams in order to meet business needs. Our client is located in Calgary, AB., but this role is open to hybrid remote (work form office/work from home) work concessions for eligible candidates based in Calgary, AB., Edmonton, AB., Surrey, B.C., Vancouver, B.C. or Saskatoon, SK.

Requirements

MUST HAVES:

  • 8+ years of experience in a DevOps/SRE role with recent (minimum 3+ years) technical leadership experience
  • Proven working success in the implementation of DevOps/SRE practices across an organization
  • Strong experience in DevSecOps practices, technologies, and tools
  • Proficient working experience in cloud architecture (Azure experience is preferred)
  • Excellent working ability with Azure Cloud-based DevOps practices, containerization, and orchestration with Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge of scalable web application architecture and infrastructure
  • Solid working experience in defining and executing production operation processes against stakeholder SLAs and ability for the implementation data-driven business decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical people.
  • Ability to work well with people and to lead and inspire them to do their best work every day
  • ITIL, Cloud architecture certifications are a definite asset
  • Post-Secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
