Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Site Quality Inspector (Mechanical). Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical refurbishment activities on the mining site. This role involves inspecting, testing, and verifying the integrity of mechanical components and systems to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical equipment and systems during the refurbishment process.
Verify that all mechanical components meet the required specifications and standards.
Identify and document any defects, non-conformities, or deviations from project requirements.
Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to address and resolve any issues identified during inspections.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the refurbishment process.
Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare comprehensive reports on findings.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and inspection plans.
Provide technical guidance and support to the refurbishment team as needed.
What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:
Junior to Intermediate level of experience in mechanical inspection, preferably in the mining or heavy industrial sector.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and refurbishment processes.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical inspections.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
Certification in mechanical inspection or quality control (e.g., ASQ, API).
Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
Knowledge of mining operations and equipment.
Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical inspection or a related field.
