Role Overview





The ideal candidate for the

Site Lead

position should possess a strong background in renovations and construction, along with excellent leadership skills. In this role, you will lead the team in daily tasks and collaborate with the project manager to ensure that project deliverables are met on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating with the project manager, clients, and team members.

Key Responsibilities




Supervise and provide direction to all employees, apprentices, and tradespeople on-site. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of carpentry work with various construction tasks. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Coordinate scheduling and details with the Project Manager and clients. Ensure quality craftsmanship on every project. Maintain accurate records of materials, progress, and site activities. Ensure that all health and safety standards are maintained by employees on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations. Ensure that all employees follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Mentor staff in planning and executing work on job sites, as well as being available to answer questions about the work being performed. Ensure that work is conducted safely and aligns with the project schedule. Work under time constraints to meet specific deadlines. Pay close attention to detail and ensure safeguarding of clients' property and information. Our job site is the client's home. Establish and follow good housekeeping practices to create a safe, organized, and efficient workplace. Install site protection to prevent dust from entering areas of the home that are not under construction. Engage in conversations with the client as needed. We encourage building a working relationship with our clients.



Qualifications




5 to 10 years of experience in renovations/carpentry. Supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and techniques. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding technical drawings. Expertise in renovation techniques and practices. Experience with construction estimating to determine materials needed for each project. Familiarity with working through all phases of renovations, from demolition to finishing. Ability to foresee finishing details during the demolition and framing stages. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with a forward-thinking approach to materials and scheduling. Attention to detail in all aspects of work. Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently. Capacity to take direction and follow through on instructions. Excellent communication skills, with an understanding of who needs information, when, and why. Ability to mentor apprentices and team members while maintaining a steady workflow on-site. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Strong time management and task prioritization skills to meet deadlines. Goal-oriented with a proactive work ethic. Red Seal or equivalent trade certification is considered an asset. Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required to get to job sites daily.
