We're looking for a motivated Foreman or Forewoman to join our growing team and lead field operations with confidence and integrity.
Position Overview
The Demolition Foreman/Woman oversees daily on-site operations, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to scope. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to coordinate crews, equipment, and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate demolition crews, equipment operators, and labourers.
Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with Alberta OHS regulations and company safety policies.
Review project scopes, drawings, and material quantities prior to mobilization.
Manage site setup, containment, and environmental protection measures.
Oversee demolition execution -- including structural teardown, selective demolition, and abatement coordination.
Monitor productivity, site cleanliness, and waste diversion (LEED tracking when required).
Communicate progress and site updates with Project Managers and clients.
Verify equipment and material deliveries; maintain accurate daily logs.
Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets Troy Demolition standards.
Support training and mentorship of crew members.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in demolition, construction, or abatement supervision.
Strong understanding of hazardous materials handling, containment, and disposal procedures.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License (with reliable transportation to various job sites).
Asbestos Worker/Abatement certification and/or First Aid an asset.
Ability to read blueprints, demolition drawings, and job scopes.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying site conditions.
