Job Description


New City Contracting is looking for a Site Foreman to join our team! The Site Foreman's responsibility includes providing on-site supervision and coordination between different subcontractors, to ensure that required quality standards are met for the building envelope projects and to ensure work is executed towards the on-schedule completion of the project and the project's conditions are safe.
Location: 60 Westridge Dr, Williams Lake, BC V2G 4L6

Responsibilities:


  • Monitor the work progress on site by efficiently managing the Coordination of different trades
  • Motivating sub-trades, to complete the work safely, on time, and to an acceptable standard of quality
  • Reporting to Site Superintendents on site progresses, possible delays, and other issues
  • Responsible for installing new electric baseboard heaters and thermostats
  • Responsible for installing addressable fire alarm system and an automatic door opener
  • Replacing of existing emergency lighting battery packs, remote heads, exit signs, and counter receptacles
  • Supply and install new wall sconce lights
  • Responsible for removing and replacing existing interior/exterior light fixtures, parking lot light poles, and fire alarm fixtures
  • Provide power supply to all electrical equipment provided by mechanical scope
  • Troubleshooting common issues that may arise on site
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with the team, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities
  • Other duties that may be assigned

Requirements:

  • Must have 5+ years of experience as a Site Foreman
  • First aid level 1 or 2 is preferred but not a requirement
  • Must be handy with tools and must know how to run a crew
  • Experience in Building Envelop Maintenance Projects is a definite advantage
  • Managing new construction projects is an added asset
  • Proven trade experience (carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.)
  • Supervisory experience and ability to manage a construction site crew
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, including drawings, plans, and schedules
  • Commitment to the job site safety and project quality
  • Understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and Safety Guidelines
  • Excellent organizational and execution skills
  • Experience using construction machinery is an asset
