Analyze financial data and performance metrics related to operations to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Drive accountability for results and define key performance metrics together with operational leaders. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, such as evaluating capital deployment opportunities or prioritizing resources. Drive productivity within the business, through operational excellence, supply chain management, and budget management within the region. Build organizational capability within the two sites: drive talent development, organizational design, and succession planning. Work closely with the operations team to develop action plans, strategies, and initiatives based on financial insights. Drive and monitor the implementation of the plans with the right key performance indicators (KPIs). Create financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on operational performance. Identify financial risks within the operations and propose mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage operational costs to achieve efficiency and cost-reduction while maintaining quality. Implement inventory control actions and initiatives to maximize operational profitability while maximizing cash. Coordinate the profit plan and forecast inputs and analysis for the key operational metrics and manufacturing costs. Lead the planning and deployment of capital spending to address short-, medium-, and long-term needs of the business. Ensure the appropriate prioritization and allocation of capital based on cash flow within the business. Guide the sites in the region through Finance Transformation; includes leading change management and developing/implementing best practices into the site to drive operational performance. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a business/finance focus. Minimum 3-5 years experience working in an operations/manufacturing environment. Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future. In possession of or pursuing a professional accounting designation CPA (CMA, CGA, CA, CFA). Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). Minimum of 5 years of data analytics. Knowledge of federal/provincial laws and regulations regarding taxes. Understanding of foreign exchange transaction and translation reporting. To be successful in this role, you combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear, practical communication.
