Eastlink is presently seeking a Site Connection Coordinator to join our team in Aylmer, ON. Reporting to the Outside Plant Projects Manager, the Site Connection Coordinator will play a key role responsible for overseeing the quality and efficiency of the preliminary placement of drop wires and conduit to our customer demark.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the daily activities related to all aerial and underground drop wire construction, material management, Quality checks.
  • Work closely with developers, builders, and internal departments to schedule and meet deadlines.
  • Complete site visits and provide recommendations for routing of the aerial/underground drops.
  • Meet with external stakeholders to secure clearances, locates, approvals and apply for permits were required.
  • Provide updates to internal and external customers to ensure that all projects comply with relevant standards/ regulations.
  • Assign day to day project activities to contractors and monitor to be on time and on budget.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Fiber/Coax technology and installations and troubleshooting, (Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with construction and/or installation.)
  • Understanding and application of Project Management principles.
  • In depth knowledge of access engineering (Aerial and underground) and design techniques (Fiber, Coax and Copper)
  • Understanding of practical knowledge of Access construction techniques (both power and communication easements)
  • Experience with MC Permitting.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Window\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Focused on the details, and quality results.
  • A customer service orientated individual, whom embraces opportunities to collaborate with your peers and key stakeholders while working within a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • The ability to travel extensively throughout the Southwestern Ontario region.
  • A Valid Ontario Drivers License with a clean driving record.
