Position:



We are currently looking to hire an experience Site Carpenter/Foreman to join our team. This position is from Monday to Friday, but might require overtime based on the workflow. In some instances, after-hour calls for emergency situations may also happened.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:



Handle the day-to-day activities on the job site. Attend all pre-start meetings and required production meetings. Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. Help the Site Supervisor/Project manager to coordinate and supervise the work. Assist the Site Supervisor/Project Manager in ensuring that all work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control measures. Assist the Site Supervisor/Project Manager in monitoring project progress, identify any issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Follow the Site Supervisor/Project Manager instructions. Perform maintenance calls as required on other existing building.

Necessary for employment:



Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, construction estimating, schematics, and quality control. Knowledge/expertise in commercial construction and/or in general contracting. Proficient in using power and hand tools and equipment. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to effectively manage time, resources, and personnel. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality craftsmanship. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks as required. Safety tickets: Fall Protection, CSTS, WHMIS, etc. - Training can/will be provided for the hired candidate, in the course of employment. Valid Driver's license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Overtime pay
Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:

Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:

Commercial construction/general contracting: 3 years (required)
Work Location: In person
