As Create. continues to evolve and grow, we are looking for a Carpenter to join our team! Are you a "Jack or Jill-of-all-trades" that loves to tackle rewarding projects? Do you enjoy creating lasting relationships? If you have a carry bag with all sorts of hand tools and a keyring on a lanyard, then this role may be perfect for you!
The Carpenter will be responsible for creating first and final impressions with our clients and have the opportunity to "make it right"!
Day-to-day responsibilities may include (but not limited to):
Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. metals, fiberglass) according to measurements and use for install as per plans and directed
Rough Framing as required (ie formwork)
Finish carpentry as required (ie. build window frames, door and hardware install, staircases, etc)
Misc finishing as required (ie. floorings, roofings, drywalls, paint, etc) ensuring a high level of quality and to industry standards
Assemble and install of doors, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
Build scaffolding and other construction structures
Misc scopes as assigned (ie. digging, cleanup after work completes, etc)
Safety paperwork and inspections as assigned
Loading and unloading materials by hand or using a forklift or telehandler

What we're looking for from the candidate:
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of four years' experience as a journey-level carpenter (or equivalent)
Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials
Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
Ability to read technical documents and drawings
Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
Good knowledge of English
Good understanding of basic math
Good physical condition and endurance
High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required (pr equivalent)
Certification and experience using a forklift & telehandler
