We are currently seeking a Site Administrator as the senior manager in one of our Long-Term Care homes at Mission Creek Landing. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Site Administrator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Home though effective planning, direction and administrative control. This role is responsible for the overall operation of the Home and directly supervises and partners with the leadership team in the home including the Director or Care, Support Services Manager, Maintenance, and the business office staff.
Mission Creek Landing has been a part of the East Kelowna community for over 45 years with 132 residents. It is nestled in a residential park like setting and is adjacent to the scenic Mission Creek Regional Park. Mission Creek Landing provides a safe home for seniors who can no longer live independently, whether due to physical or cognitive issues.

What You Will Do- Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall management of the home, including directing, organizing and evaluating the day-to-day operations.
Responsible for ensuring a high standard of, resident centered care and service .
Responsible for maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards and Health Authority contractual obligations.
Develops with the team, goals and objectives that align with corporate strategies, and other quality improvement objectives Responsible for liaison with Licensing, the Health Authority and corporate office.
Management:
Establish an effective communication network with residents, families, physicians, staff, community agencies, other health care facilities, licensing and funding authorities.
Implements the mission, philosophy of care, in conjunction with the team and the resident family council.
Ensures the principal functions and annual objectives for each service/function is met.
Ensures that there are sufficient numbers of qualified staff to meet the needs of residents and to fulfil the approved staffing requirements of the home.
Ensures that orientation, staff development and continuing education programs are implemented
Participate on quality improvement committees in the home and other committees/teams as appropriate.
Ensure the implementation and evaluation of the home's quality improvement, risk management and occupational health and safety programs.
Monitor for and maintain compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations in the home.
Financial:
Administers and operates within the approved budget for financial control, personnel management and resident care programs and ensures optimum utilization of resources.
Approves all budgeted purchasing, support service, maintenance and consultant contracts for the home and its programs.
Human Resources:
Responsible for hiring, orientation, supervising, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating of all staff members in the home.
Interprets organizational human resources, policies and staff agreements as required.
?Resident Care Programs and Services:
Ensures that the standard of care provided in the home are consistent with the mission and philosophy of care.
Participates in the development of safety plan when required and ensures corrective action plans are fully adhered to and compliance achieved.
Ensures compliance with federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and ensures inspection reports are reviewed, followed up and communicated to all staff.
Approves contracts for Allied partners.
Your Qualifications - The Must Have's
Minimum of four years experience in a similar position in Long Term Care or equivalent position in health care an asset
Demonstrated skill in management of financial and human resources in health care preferred
Excellent communication both written and verbal as well as interpersonal skills coupled with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Must possess the personal qualities and attitudes that respect and maintain the spirit, dignity and individuality of the residents and the staff.
Ability to coach, lead and motivate staff, and work in a fast pace changing environment, and the ability to work co-operatively and effectively with staff, residents, visitors and the public.

Salary Range: $110,000 to $120,000 annually
