LandSolutions is looking to hire a Consultant Site Acquisition Specialist to support our Telecommunications division. The role can be based in Alberta and will work a hybrid work environment, along with work in the field to support our various National Programs in Edmonton and Calgary. The Role The primary purpose of this position is to identify locations, negotiate and acquire real estate agreements for various Telecommunications files, both wireless and wireline, on behalf of various clients in a dynamic and growing industry. This role involves dealing with various stakeholders from landowners to government agencies as well as organizing and controlling project activities under the direction of the Program Manager.

  • Site selection for wireless greenfield, rooftop, and in-building facilities (includes analysis of search ring, civil and RF requirements)
  • Execute end-to-end Right of Entry (RoE) and Right of Way (RoW) site acquisition for wireline (fiber) projects
  • Proactively interface with customers and colleagues for all matters pertaining to the wireless and wireline projects
  • Review and assess our customers\' documents to determine type of agreements or notices required
  • Prepare agreements, notifications and letters required for wireless and wireline acquisition
  • Prepare agreements, notifications and letters required for acquisition of approvals for new equipment at existing sites or for renewal extensions
  • Negotiate and acquire agreements for macro, small cell, PICO and in-building systems
  • Prepare agreements and the appropriate supporting documentation and forms for transmittal to customers
  • Provide accurate reporting of candidates, acquisitions of agreements, and other interim steps to ensure customers are updated
  • Liaise with LandSolutions Municipal Affairs Specialists to provide assessments of municipal requirements and meet customer timelines and expectations to aide in appropriate siting selections
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of presentation material for public consultation/open houses/virtual open houses related to the Site Acquisition process
  • Project set-up, monitoring and follow up on completion
  • Order, interpret and assess survey plans to determine appropriate requirements for a project and request all required notifications and consents
  • Maintain status reports and internal database accuracy and forecasting timelines for Clients and team
  • Communicate with surveyors, engineers, and other land personnel with respect to the needs and requirements of active projects

Required
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Wireless Site Acquisition and Wireline RoE/RoW within Canada
  • Post-secondary education in Land, Business, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or a related field
  • Sound business acumen and proven ability to implement and maintain effective business practices and responsible business negotiations
  • Strong working knowledge of GPS, graphics software, MS365, SharePoint and Teams
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional and objective outlook for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
