Job Details Position Title: Student Information System (SIS) Integration & Security Coordinator Status: FT Support Hours: 35hrs/wk Faculty/Department: Office of the Registrar Campus/Location: North Campus Salary: Band I (Min 35.83) (Max 41.52)
What you will do:
The SIS Integration and Security Coordinator, under the general direction of the Manager, Student Systems, is focused on maintaining a high quality of support and resolution to any integration issues that arise post implementation, along with Access Management solutions for Humber’s Student Information System (SIS). The incumbent ensures that integrations are seamless for all student, staff and person records affected and that the system of record is maintained.
The SIS Integration and Security Coordinator is responsible for security provisioning of all Banner classes related to the Student Information System (SIS) and applications for all modules for the entire college and is responsible for identifying integration issues and developing solutions in conjunction with the Business/Systems Analysts. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that Banner Data Standards are adhered to and the overall integrity of the SIS data is maintained. The SIS Integration and Security Coordinator provides resources and training suggestions, along with documented materials based upon security requests and conducts a security audit each year on user roles throughout the College. The Coordinator provides technical guidance and support in any integration associated with the integration of external systems or data feeds to and from Banner.

Minimum Qualifications
Education The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree (4 years) in Computer or Information Science, Quality Assurance, or Business Administration with strong technical acumen. Experience and Skills
The incumbent must have a minimum of 5 years related experience and should demonstrate the following:

  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills; demonstrated extensive proficiency working with student information systems and relational databases. Example: banner; strong understanding of privacy and security standards and legislation (e.g. PIPEDA);
  • Superior verbal and written communication and active listening skills with the ability to explain complex processes;
  • Extensive experience working in the post-secondary education environment with strong understanding of college business processes;
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently;
  • Superior logical and technical abilities to accurately develop and modify complex application programs with superior quality assurance measures;
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite and various software tools to create and maintain system and user documentation, and training manuals; experience using issue and project tracking tools/software such as JIRA and MS-Project and MS Access
