POSITION REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager



JOB SUMMARY:



As a member of the engineering team the Simulation Engineer is responsible to ensure that all processes are capable and meet customer requirements in a simulated environment. The Simulation Engineer is responsible to model a range of different scenarios and variables in quick secession; put the technical solution through to confirm it passes and ensure capability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:



Utilizing 3D models to create off-line robot programs Provide technical advice and support to engineering related to the mechanical aspects of the design. Create simulated models and ensure capability of design. Implement simulation on equipment from concept to completion including installation Strong organizational abilities, good interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication skills are all required, as are independent thinking and initiative in determining work methods. Design semi & fully automated equipment layouts using Kuka Sim with capability to meet customer demand and quality specification. Liaise with customers and engineering staff Identify, co-ordinate, and complete testing and calculations required to validate engineering designs. Actively research and advice of new design technology, manufacturing processes, products, and tools that will advance GTAC capability and competitiveness. Other duties and projects as required by your Manager.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:



College Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Drafting. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks. Good documentation and communication skills as well as the ability to work very well in a team environment A hands-on approach to problem solving / analytical skills Must be self-motivated and effective at troubleshooting and meet tight deadlines Good communication skills both verbal and written Skilled in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Project) Strong working knowledge of mechanical theory and the use of software to perform complex calculations to support engineering designs Proficient with Kuka Sim

Computers, Telephones, Fax Machines, Printer & Copier Machines

WORKING CONDITIONS:



Well-lit climate controlled office area. Moderate exposure to noise and dust when in the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Environment Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations while working in "Just in Time" environment. Travel required in and out of the Country as defined by project requirements and as requested by Management.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
