Role: Silversmith

Reports to: Studio manager and Lead Silversmith

Job Summary:

In alignment with the Gem Studio's mission to deliver magical, hands-on jewelry experiences that turn guests into lifelong raving fans, safety, quality and exceptional guest engagement are priorities shared by every team member in this position.

Reporting to the Studio manager and Lead silversmith, the Silversmith facilitates jewelry workshops while ensuring a safe, engaging and fun environment for guests. Responsibilities include guiding guests through the workshop process, maintaining safety and cleanliness of the workstation, upselling add-ons, capturing guest memories and contributing to the positive culture of the Gem studio.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests within 15 seconds, learns and uses guest names, and acknowledges celebrations to create a welcoming environment. Educates guests on .925 silver, pricing structures, and available customization options. Guides guests through the Gem studio's workshop process, including the welcome series, price presentation, sweet 16 and send-off, ensuring clarity and fun. Captures and shares guest workshop photos while encouraging social media engagement and reviews. Converts walk-ins into workshop bookings through friendly, informative interactions. Promotes and upsells additional pieces and design add-ons while maintaining transparent and clear pricing communication. Demonstrates safe handling of silversmithing tools, including torches, and educates guests on safe practices during workshops. Maintains a clean, organized and safe workstation following studio safety standards. Completes required training, skill check offs and workshop closeout documentation accurately and promptly. Arrives 30 minutes before the shift to ensure workstation readiness and remains available for 12-24 hrs per week, including evenings and weekends. Attends meetings, communicates proactively with the team and contributes to a supportive, positive environment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to communicate clearly, enthusiastically, and kindly in both verbal and written form. Ability to engage guests positively, creating a fun and welcoming environment. Ability to maintain focus, organization and cleanliness in a fast paced, interactive environment. Ability to learn and safely operate related equipment, including torches and silversmithing tools. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and safely manage hands on workshops tasks. Ability to contribute to a positive, team centered environment in alignment with the Gem studios values of kindness, energy and creating magical guest experiences.

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
