Charm Workshops:

Create your own charm bracelets, anklets, or necklaces with hundreds of charms to choose from!

Position Overview

As a Silversmith at The Gem Studio, you'll be at the heart of guest experiences, guiding people through hands-on jewellery-making workshops and helping them bring their creative ideas to life. You'll ensure every guest feels confident, supported, and proud of what they create.

You'll lead sessions that are creative, professional, and fun. You'll also play a key role in keeping the studio running smoothly by supporting operations, capturing social-worthy moments, and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and organised environment. This is a guest-facing role made for someone who's confident, enthusiastic, and creative!

Prior silversmithing experience is an asset, but not required, we'll provide full training when you join

Your Role at the Studio

Facilitating Workshops:

Lead guests through hands-on jewellery-making sessions including ring-making, charm jewellery, and permanent chain appointments

Providing Technical Support:

Guide guests through each step of the process, from design to soldering, polishing, and final touches

Delivering Exceptional Guest Experiences:

Ensure all guests have an outstanding experience from the moment they enter to the time they leave

Maintaining Safety & Cleanliness:

Ensure tools, equipment, and workspaces are clean, organised, and safely operated throughout each session

Managing Session Flow:

Keep workshops running smoothly and on schedule, even during high-traffic times

Supporting Inventory:

Assist with restocking tools and materials, prepping workstations, and maintaining supply organisation

Collaborating with the Team:

Communicate clearly with colleagues, offer support as needed, and contribute to a positive studio culture

Capturing Moments:

Help document guest creations and support content capture for social media when appropriate

Problem-Solving in Real Time:

Respond to unexpected challenges calmly and efficiently, always prioritising guest experience

Continual Learning:

Proactively improve your skills in silversmithing, guest service, and studio operations

Compensation & Perks

Pay:

From $18.50/hour + tips

Part-Time Hours:

Approx. 10-30 hours per week
