The GO Expansion scope: new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.

Objective

Prepare and supervise the execution of Mainline and Urban (M&U) Signaling Installation - trackside and/or onboard - supporting the installation workers and other entities involved, according to the Project Installation Manager orientation and project schedule

Ensure the application of EHS policies, local regulations, and professional standards

Responsibilities

In compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards, the Installation Supervisor oversees operational coordination of all project activities related to Site Works, including:

  • Prepare installation work and confirm readiness of installation execution (4M checklist)
  • Train and support the Installation Workers and Sub-contractors on the working fronts under his/her responsibility, clarifying doubts and task priorities
  • Supervise execution of Installation - on trackside and/or onboard-, independently if performed by Alstom workers, Sub-contractors, or Customer / Partner / Third Party
  • Ensure compliance of Installation activities with D&IS Installation and FO Process
  • Apply the Work Method Statement (WMS) / Installation procedures according design documentation, report on any deviation found or needed.
  • Make sure the EHS requirements and special processes are clearly included in the WMS
  • Report to the PrYM/PrSOM/PrFOM the field activities progress and any issue or founding in the execution, including non-conformities to communicate to Quality team
  • Ensure the activities are carried out as per schedule, within the productivity required, in line with the quality standards
  • Ensure and support the Handover process to T&C team / Customer
  • Continuous improvement:
  • Contribute to best practices definition and REX within the Product Line
  • Ensure the strictly application of EHS rules by the installation workers (including Sub-contractors)
Performance measurements
  • OTD (On Time Delivery) for site activities
  • Quality, EHS, RSA (Railway Safety Agencies): monitoring, anticipation and reporting on progress and issues
Education
  • Technical High-School Diploma
Certification on Railway Safety

Certification on site EHS management desirable

Experience/Requirements
  • 5-10y experience on railway site management
  • Planning control experience in site management scope
  • Strong experience on railway EHS management
  • Knowledgeable of Railway products and services on different market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M)
  • Knowledgeable of transversal railway construction activities (civil, infrastructure, catenary, etc.)
  • Work during night/weekends/Holidays will be required
  • Able to walk/carry tools in field environment and uneven terrain and with potential adverse weather conditions
