Sign Technician
Job Description
This is a full time position.
As an ideal candidate, you would be a self starter, work with minimal supervision, and like to drive and work outside. Must be physically fit.
This position requires a reliable vehicle and long drives in Calgary and area to perform sign message changes, fix signs and set up new signs. A work truck to haul a work trailer will be provided as needed. Mileage is reimbursed for any work completed using your own vehicle.
The job primarily involves driving around the NW quadrant of the city installing and servicing signs. All training will be provided. All necessary tools will be provided as needed.
Additional job duties involve preparing signs and inventory maintenance.
Much of the job is outside so you will need to be prepared for high winds, freezing/hot temperatures, rain and whatever else mother nature has in store. Customer service is priority.
Must be:
Honest, reliable, conscientious, detail oriented and able to lift at least 75 pounds. Some hard physical work can be involved.
Mechanically skilled with problem-solving ability.
Neat and organized.
Able to work in
ALL WEATHER
conditions year-round with appropriate clothing. This is primarily an outdoor job.Able to communicate effectively.
Able to work at heights (i.e. using a ladder) safely on occasion.
Must have:
Class 5 Alberta Drivers License.
Clean drivers abstract and experience driving a truck and hauling a trailer.
A smartphone to guide you using Google Maps and for taking pictures and recording all work completed throughout the day.
Assets:
Previous sign installation experience considered an asset.
Trailer experience an asset.
Your own truck with towing capability considered an asset.
Sales experience an asset but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
