Tasks

Clean work area Sand, trim, grind or clean products into final form using hand tools Screw, clip, glue, bond, weld or otherwise assemble parts and components to form final products Cut, shape and fit materials to form parts and components Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides Co-ordinate sub-contracting Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations in order to meet their communications needs Work in a multidisciplinary environment Adapt existing illustrations
