Overview:
The Sidewalk Equipment Operator is responsible for operating compact machinery such as Toolcats and Kubotas to perform snow removal safely and efficiently on commercial and residential properties..
Primary Responsibilities
----------------------------
Operate Toolcats sweepers or similar compact equipment for sidewalk snow clearing.
Remove snow from sidewalks, pathways, and small parking areas as assigned.
Conduct routine pre- and post-operation safety and maintenance checks.
Clean, inspect, and lubricate equipment; report any mechanical issues to supervisors.
Follow all company safety policies and site-specific procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.
Work collaboratively with crew members to complete tasks efficiently and to company standards.
Assist with other duties related to landscaping or construction as needed.
Qualifications
------------------
Must have experience operating Kubota, Toolcat, or similar snow removal equipment.
Valid driver's license with the ability to safely haul equipment using a truck and trailer.
Ability to read and follow site maps, plans, and supervisor instructions.
Strong understanding of equipment safety, operation, and maintenance practices.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
Physical Demands
--------------------
Comfortable working outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions (including cold, snow, and ice).
* Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor when required.
