is seeking a professional, friendly, and highly organized Showroom Assistant to support our Ottawa showroom located at 155 Colonnade Road. As the first point of contact for visitors, this role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional customer experience that reflects Potvin's commitment to quality and service.

The ideal candidate is polished in presentation, articulate, warm, and customer focused.

Fluency in English is required; French is considered an asset.
This is a full-time, on-site position, Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Showroom Assistant is responsible for greeting customers, maintaining an immaculate showroom environment, supporting administrative functions, and ensuring all visitors receive a memorable and welcoming Potvin experience.

Primary responsibilities:



Customer Greeting & Experience



Greet customers promptly upon arrival, offer beverages, and create an exceptional first impression.

Responsible for creating a memorable, positive customer experience every visit.

Build rapport with visitors using a friendly, professional, and service-oriented approach.

Educate customers on Potvin's services, processes, design journey, and project lifecycle.

Provide guided showroom tours that highlight product offerings and design possibilities.

Collect relevant customer information to accurately create new lead entries in Monday.com, ensuring all required details are properly recorded.

Showroom Operations & Presentation



Complete daily cleaning tasks throughout the showroom and designated areas between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., prior to opening.

Conduct a full showroom walk-through before opening at 9:00 a.m. and again in the afternoon to ensure all displays remain pristine.

Maintain inventory of office supplies, cleaning products, and food/beverage items; restock as needed.

Coordinate service calls and repairs with the landlord and external vendors as required.

Report technical issues to the appropriate internal Potvin teams.

Sample Room Maintenance



Ensure all wall-mounted samples are neatly displayed and properly labeled.

Maintain an organized and fully stocked sample area.

Monitor take-home sample quantities and reorder when inventory runs low.

Administrative Support



Provide general administrative assistance as assigned, including tasks that may be completed remotely on behalf of the Potvin office.

Additional duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.

Qualifications:



Strong interpersonal skills with a polished, professional, and friendly demeanor.

Clear, articulate verbal communication; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Customer-service mindset with the ability to create a welcoming and supportive experience.

Comfortable learning and using software tools such as

Monday.com

.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail, notices the small things others may overlook

Ability to remain calm under pressure and present a polished confident demeanor to reflect the Potvin brand.

What We Offer



Salary range $43,000 to $47,000 based on experience
