Amazing opportunity for a passionate and driven Executive Chef at Canadian Adventure Camp. This live on-site position is suited to an Executive Chef with experience in delivering food services to up to 200 people. Our Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen to ensure the smooth, consistent and quality execution of all culinary duties.
About CAC
Canadian Adventure Camp is a full-service children's summer camp located on beautiful 160-acre Adventure Island in Temagami, Ontario! We feature a full program of 35 great camp activities and are the summer camp home to 150 children and youth, aged 7 through 17 years. As an acclaimed summer camp in Ontario for nearly 50 years, we pride ourselves on providing outstanding experiences to campers from across the world. With our family-style meal times providing the foundations for our culture and atmosphere, our Executive Chef and kitchen staff play a vital role in the CAC community.

Key Responsibilities
Execute delivery of pre-established menus to the highest standard
Preparing, submitting, and receiving food deliveries while staying within an outlined budget
Ensuring minimal wastage and managing onsite food inventory
Ensure that all food preparation is in accordance with regulatory guidelines
Implement and maintain a positive safety culture within the camp kitchen in line with industry standards
Train and supervise CAC kitchen staff to ensure safe, efficient and effective operation
Use knowledge and understanding of dietary restrictions in meal delivery
Who are we looking for?
Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Chef (experience working in a camp kitchen preferred)
Ability to lead and inspire a team
Ability to track expenses and manage a budget
Ensure strict compliance with all Health, Safety & Sanitation expectations, Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS regulations and CAC policies & expectations
Ability to adapt to changes in workplace circumstances and/or environment
Culinary Degree or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Food Handlers Certification
Willingness to relocate and live remotely for the duration of employment
