Position Summary

As our company continues to grow, we are looking to add a dedicated

Shop Technician

to our team. Reporting to the Shop Manager, this role is key in assembling equipment and products according to drawings and work orders. We're seeking someone with a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and accountability who thrives in a collaborative warehouse environment. The Shop Technician will use their knowledge and hands-on experience to complete a variety of tasks efficiently and accurately, contributing to our ongoing success.

Assemble products according to drawings and desired specs using hand and power tools Working with piping, including assembling and welding threaded and grooved pipe, and HDPE pipe welding. Operating in and around engines. Conducting quality checks, testing, and commissioning of products. Operating equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts. Performing general manufacturing shop tasks related to material handling, cleanup, and tool and machinery operations. Collaborating with the team to meet production schedules. Ensuring organization and security in stockrooms. Participating in periodic inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels. Undertaking any other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Experience in fabrication and assembly of manufactured threaded and grooved pipe. Knowledge and experience in pipefitting and would be considered an asset but not required. Technical and mechanical aptitude with a keen focus on safety. Familiarity with mechanical tools and working in and around engines. Valid BC Driver's License and steel toes boots are essential. Previous experience in a similar shop or manufacturing environment is advantageous. * Training and certification for forklift operation, First Aid, WHIMIS is an asset, however, we will provide these and any other necessary requirements.
