Fleet Maintenance Manager

to lead our Ottawa maintenance operations. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone with strong mechanical expertise, a hands-on approach, and a passion for team development and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

Oversee all maintenance activities at the Ottawa location Supervise and support technicians and service employees Schedule and manage fleet maintenance and repairs Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure vehicle availability for dispatch Hire, train, and evaluate shop staff; manage performance and development Monitor maintenance budgets and review financial variances Ensure compliance with provincial, federal, and company safety standards Review repair orders, manage parts inventory, and subcontract work as needed Lead initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs Perform hands-on mechanical work when required Oversee fueling operations and facility maintenance

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred) Minimum 5 years of mechanical supervisory experience Strong knowledge of diesel engines and school bus equipment (preferred) Excellent communication and leadership skills Proficiency with computers and maintenance software Ability to lift 20-50 lbs and work in shop conditions (dust, grease, crouched positions)
