Job Overview

Reporting to the Manager, the

Shop Labourer

is responsible for performing general labour activities, including maintenance of cleanliness and organization of the shop, and delivery and pick up of required materials.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Maintaining a clean worksite, organizing and managing shop inventory. Fulfilling orders, completing deliveries and pickups. Assisting shop supervisor in maintaining an on-time job schedule. Working in a safe manner and comply with Qualico/Star's Safety Program and relevant safety regulations. Reporting any violations and incidents or near-miss incidents to management immediately. Providing support for other projects or duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements

High School Diploma, or equivalent. Previous experience in the mechanical industry is preferred. Valid driver's licence and access to reliable vehicle. Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and situational awareness of physical work environment. Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 60 lbs. Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

Work Conditions

You primarily work in a warehouse, picking orders and delivering orders to jobsites during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
