Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Hand / Installer to support our telecommunications operations. This role combines shop and yard support with field work, including 2-way radio systems, signal boosters, and residential internet installations.

This position is well suited for someone hands-on, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities

Shop & Yard Support

Organize and maintain shop, yard, tools, and equipment

Prepare materials and equipment for daily installs

Load and unload vehicles

Assist with basic inventory tracking

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Installation & Field Work

Assist with and perform installation of:

2-way radio systems

Signal boosters

Residential home internet services

Run and secure cabling

Install mounting hardware, antennas, and equipment

Test connections and ensure proper operation

Follow installation standards and safety procedures

General Duties

Shop and Yard support, Installations, Travel to job sites as required

Follow instructions and work efficiently with minimal supervision

Communicate clearly with team members and customers when on-site

Qualifications & Skills

Valid driver's license (required) - Clean drivers abstract - must be insurable

Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions

Physically capable of lifting and performing hands-on work

Experience with telecom, radio, internet, or electrical installs is an asset

Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

Basic knowledge of computers

Willingness to learn (training provided)

Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
