Overview

West Bros. is a custom wood furniture manufacturer that makes high end furniture for the hospitality industry. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant/stainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our operations by assisting with various tasks related to assembly, fabrication, and maintaining the workshop environment. This position requires a blend of mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills. Training will be provided, but basic power tool knowledge/experience is required. There is room for growth for a motivated individual.

Responsibilities

Staining of tables, chairs and other furniture (primary role) Assist in the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools. Fabricate components as per specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Support inventory management by tracking materials and supplies. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time. Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery and in general around the shop.

Skills

Experience staining wood products Good communication skills Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical instructions. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for various tasks. Experience in assembling and fabricating components is preferred. Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and assist team members

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
